I have been thinking about this quote a lot today, for some people the worlds opinions on normal dictates there whole lives, they miss the true freedom of being their wild self. The person who God made them, with the quirks that makes them; them. I have noticed that often the people that are so quick to judge the quirks of others are the ones who hold their true selves back, for fear of being judged. Its natural to worry about other peoples opinions but don't let it dictate the person you are or become, always be the best possible YOU, because when someone appreciates that its all the more special. I want to be a person who is comfortable being myself, and am trying to continually challenge myself to that, even when it feels like the hardest thing to do.
I love inspiring quotes and once I've herd something that I don't want to forget I feel the need to keep it somewhere, and recently I came across this cute little book. My plan is to fill it with quotes, from here there and everywhere, although most so far are from scripture, and give it to a daughter, or daughters friend when it is full. Hopefully those snippets of wisdom can then be shared.
Today was a lovely day, me and my bestie finally got a day off work together so we went for some pancakes at Boston Tea Party, it was so lovely to get to hear about everything she has been doing because recently I haven't seen her much. The sun also made an apperance so we decided to walk back from the station and then because we were in a crafty mood gave these origami dresses a go. We followed this tutorial which was super simple.
As a Graduation present, my Grandma took me for a Mad Hatters style tea party, it was great and I especially loved the building. The room we ate in was 1940s style and absolutely beautiful and downstairs they had a war time bistro full of memorabilia which took my Grandma back. Im definitely heading back for a steak their! I couldn't recommend the place more.
http://www.netherstowehouse.com/ 'Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.'
